Processing of personal data

The National Board of Health and Welfare, Socialstyrelsen, is the data controller for the personal data (name, e-mail address, country and information about employer, including organizational affiliation and information used as a basis for invoicing) that you provide in connection with your participation in the conference.

The data are processed in order to be able to contact you if necessary, send out information and make materials available, issue and send an invoice, and — on an aggregated level — obtain information about participating countries and organizations. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.

Those employees at Socialstyrelsen who will have access to the data need it in order to perform their duties. Furthermore, the registration for, and information about, the conference will constitute an official document (allmän handling). In other words, your personal data may be disclosed in accordance with Sweden’s principle of public access to official documents (offentlighetsprincipen). You should therefore avoid entering any sensitive information.

In addition to any disclosures of personal data that Socialstyrelsen may be required to make as a consequence of the principle of public access, Socialstyrelsen uses a data processor for conference registration and for producing statistics at an aggregated level on participation. The data processor may only process personal data in accordance with the purposes and instructions provided by Socialstyrelsen. The personal data will be stored for no longer than three months. Thereafter, the data will be permanently deleted.

You have the right to obtain access to the personal data that Socialstyrelsen processes about you, a so-called right of access (a right to obtain from the confirmation from Socialstyrelsen as to whether or not personal data concerning him or her are being processed).

You have the right to request rectification and erasure of the data being processed. You also have the right to object to the processing and to request restriction of processing of your personal data. If you submit such a request, Socialstyrelsen will assess whether the measure you request should or can be taken.

If you have questions about the processing of personal data, you can contact Socialstyrelsen at ancr2026@socialstyrelsen.se

You can also contact Socialstyrelsen’s Data Protection Officer at dataskyddsombud@socialstyrelsen.se

If you wish to lodge a complaint regarding Socialstyrelsen’s processing of your personal data, you may contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY.
