Quality and Efficiency in Swedish Cancer Care – Regional comparisons 2011

The quality of the Swedish cancer care varies both within and between counties. It emerges in this first open comparison of medical outcomes and waiting times for ten common cancers in Sweden.

The report includes 70 indicators that reflect different aspects of cancer care, including medical outcomes, patient experience and waiting times.

The overall purpose of the report is to promote local, regional and national improvement efforts by comparing the quality of cancer care.It is also intended to provide the general public with insight into what publicly financed cancer care is accomplishing.
